I tried to watch a show in December, changed the channel. Watched youtube clips of the new show around march, stopped watching it completely. Unfollowed the daily show after its post were mostly “dank memes” and “lol bernie is so old and has dimentia I love queen hillary Ikr and trump is orange”. The bar sank low especially with maybe with a constant week of sanders jokes. I can make and take jokes about sanders repeating the 1% of the top 99% joke but come on if you’re not going to make fun of the other candidates then you’re not like the daily show. Also noah’s constant material is “You american are so weird and messed up hahaha.”

they wanted someone much younger to grab millennials the same way Stewart had done with older millennials/younger gen y’ers.

in the mid 2000s Stewert was great his takedown of crossfire was amazing.Though some was fluff when he could spooled up he could take on an issue fantastically. I think towards the end he was tired and that showed in the decline (IMO) of the show after 2011.

There was a great book that nailed the shittyness of cable news and now its even worse. (crap I’m getting old).

Oh man I miss this man on TV. I’ve met him once, drove his car too! Valet’d his Range Rover at the Salt Creek Grill in Rumson, NJ. Super awesome dude, tipped good, was way down to earth.

I would not find that hard to believe, especially with what he’s said about the Clintons in the past. Another theory was that he was just doing it for the free publicity and then when his capaign took off he just decided to go with the flow.
